Workshop malování akvarelem na vějíře
**Under the guidance of the instructor, participants will learn the basics of watercolour painting and create their own themed fan in the spirit of Alfons Mucha’s Art Nouveau aesthetic. For three hours, they will unwind in the peaceful atmosphere of the Mucha Foundation Art Museum.** The *Language of Flowers* Japanese Weekend at the Mucha Foundation Art Museum also includes a workshop in which participants will immerse themselves in the world of watercolours, regardless of their previous painting experience. In the first part, under the guidance of the instructor, they will learn how to apply paint, work with water, build up layers and create subtle transitions. In the second part, they will create freely and take home an original fan as a lasting memento. The workshop is part of a Japanese-themed weekend. Throughout the weekend, the museum will host the *Language of Flowers* exhibition, which brings contemporary Japanese ikebana art from the Sogetsu School to the Mucha Foundation Art Museum. The project’s leading figure is Japanese master Hieda Shigyoku, who is coming to Prague with her students to present ikebana through both the exhibition and live demonstrations. The project is conceived as an encounter between Japanese aesthetics and Czech art, glassmaking, and local plant materials. Special glass vases are also being created for the exhibited compositions in collaboration with Czech glass artist Ondřej Novotný, with some of the arrangements featuring his original *Pastello* collection. *The exhibition takes place during the celebrations marking the 100th anniversary of the Sogetsu School and symbolically joins in the 30th anniversary of the partnership between Prague and Kyoto.* **Practical information:** - The workshop ticket also includes admission to the exhibition. - Duration: 3.5 hours - Capacity: max. 17 participants - Suitable for: complete beginners and those with some experience - Price: 1,500,-
