Festival Spectaculare: Floex Ensemble (křest) + Juha Mäki-Patola
**The Spectaculare Festival warm-up features the release of a new album by the duo Floex & Jan Šikl Directors**. The duo presents a unique concept of neoclassical music that oscillates between the raw sound of analog synthesizers and the tonal richness of an acoustic sextet. Don’t expect dance beats or groovy rhythms, and don’t expect a purely calm and meditative experience either. **Floex Ensemble** will demonstrate that even classical music can be emotional and full of twists and turns, that electronic music can sound orchestral, and that classical music, conversely, can have a club-like vibe. The new live concept by the six-piece **Floex Ensemble**, led by cellist **Tomáš Jamník**, will take us through an expansive four-part composition in a unique spatial multichannel sound. The ensemble, which began as an occasional project for live performances of Floex’s soundtracks, has evolved into an autonomous creative group thanks to its long-term collaboration with composer and conductor **Jan Šikl**, and with this album has officially begun a new phase of its existence. The conceptual album *Directors* explores the theme of the diversity of how we each see the world and perceive reality, represented by imaginary directors and their varied approaches to the creative process. The album is scheduled for release in late September or early October. The November evening will open with Finnish composer **Juha Mäki-Patola**, whose work straddles the line between contemporary classical and ambient music. In his compositions, he builds on the tradition of artists such as **Jóhann Jóhannsson** and **Nils Frahm**, creating music that is at once intimate, cinematic, and captivatingly atmospheric. *The concert is organized in collaboration with ARCHA+.*

Autorská dvojice přichází s unikátním konceptem neoklasické hudby polarizující mezi obnaženým zvukem analogových syntezátorů a barvou akustického sextetu. Nečekejte taneční beaty a groovy a nečekejte ani čistě klidný a meditativní zážitek. **Floex Ensemble** předvede, že i klasická hudba může být emotivní a plná zvratů, elektronika může působit orchestrálně a klasika naopak klubově. Nový live koncept šestice **Floex Ensemble** v čele s violoncellistou **Tomášem Jamníkem** nás provede rozsáhlou čtyřdílnou skladbou v unikátním prostorovém vícekanálovém zvuku. Soubor, který vznikl jako příležitostný projekt pro živé hraní Floexových soundtracků, se díky dlouhodobé spolupráci se skladatelem a dirigentem **Janem Šiklem** proměnil v autonomní autorskou skupinu a touto deskou oficiálně započal novou etapu své existence. Konceptuální deska Directors zpracovává téma různorodosti vidění světa a vnímání reality každého z nás, která je reprezentována imaginárními režiséry a jejich různorodými metodami přístupu ke kreativnímu procesu. Vydání desky je plánováno na přelom září a října. Listopadový večer otevře finský skladatel **Juha Mäki-Patola**, jehož tvorba se pohybuje na pomezí současné klasiky a ambientu. Ve svých kompozicích navazuje na tradici autorů jako **Jóhann Jóhannsson** či **Nils Frahm** a vytváří hudbu, která je zároveň intimní, filmová i podmanivě atmosférická. *Koncert je pořádán ve spolupráci s ARCHA+.*
