Huun-Huur-Tu
# **Icons of Tuvan Throat Singing and the Nomadic Musical Tradition.** Tuva, together with its neighboring regions, is the cradle of the fascinating vocal art known as throat singing. Through the skillful use of harmonics and overtones, it creates sound textures unlike anything in the Western musical tradition, allowing singers to produce multiple pitches simultaneously. For more than 30 years, Huun-Huur-Tu have been among the world's foremost representatives of this remarkable genre. They have performed on stages across the globe, appeared on platforms such as BBC and KEXP, and collaborated with artists including Frank Zappa, Bobby McFerrin, Kronos Quartet, and many others.
